Ron Burgundy: “I don’t know how to put this, but I’m kind of a big deal… I’m very important. I have many leather-bound books, and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.”

Sadly, I’m nowhere near as awesome as Ron Burgundy…

I’m female. I’m currently 26 years old. I live in a small country in northern Europe. I love, love, LOVE Gordon Ramsay – maybe more than is normal. Or healthy. Why? Let me explain…

Yes, he’s got a bad temper and yes, he’s got a foul mouth. But so what? I love his passion. He’s really got his heart in everything he does. He doesn’t do anything half-assedly, he always gives everything he’s got. You’ve got to admire that. While he does seem to enjoy getting into arguments, he rarely attacks people out of the blue. Most of the time it’s someone else throwing the first stone.

I’ve read his autobiography as well as watched documentaries about his life. I’m amazed at how little he had in the beginning and how far he’s got in the 25-or-so years he’s been cooking. He’s had a tough adolescence with loads of disappointments. But he hasn’t let that get to him. He’s used it as motivation to get far in life, and that’s exactly what he’s done. And he doesn’t stop there: he also uses his knowledge to try and help others. I have to tip my hat to him.

Mr. Gordon Ramsay, you’re an inspiration.
